SRAM RED 1x XPLR AXS Power Meter Wide Crankset E1 - 172.5mm | 42t
What makes the SRAM RED 1x XPLR AXS Power Meter Wide Crankset the top gravel power crank?
The RED 1x XPLR AXS Power Meter Wide Crankset E1 brings SRAM's flagship-level carbon crank construction together with an integrated spider-based dual-sided power meter built specifically for the XPLR gravel platform. Dual-sided measurement captures both left and right power independently, delivering accuracy within plus or minus 1.5% and a complete picture of pedaling balance and output. The hollow carbon arm construction uses the same updated layup as the RED E1 road crank — reducing arm weight compared to the previous generation without compromising torsional stiffness or fatigue life. The Wide geometry positions the chainline outboard to match 1x gravel cassette spacing, minimizing chain angle and friction across the full XPLR cassette range.
The 42t X-Sync thread-mount chainring uses wide-narrow tooth engagement to keep the chain planted on rough gravel terrain without a front derailleur or retention device. Thread-mount attachment eliminates the traditional spider for a lighter interface and allows chainring size swaps without replacing the crankset. Compatible with SRAM DUB bottom bracket standards and the full RED XPLR AXS 12/13-speed ecosystem including the RED XPLR rear derailleur and XG-1391 cassette. If you are building the lightest, most data-rich RED gravel drivetrain available, this crankset is the foundation.
