SRAM AXS Battery
What powers SRAM AXS components on your bike?
The SRAM AXS Battery is the universal power source for the entire AXS wireless ecosystem. The same battery is interchangeable across eTap AXS front and rear road derailleurs, Eagle AXS MTB rear derailleurs, and the RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post — one battery format, every AXS component. That cross-compatibility means a spare battery in your kit bag covers any AXS device on any bike you ride, and swapping a depleted battery mid-ride or between stages takes seconds without tools using the tool-free battery latch built into each AXS component.
Battery life on a single charge is extensive for normal riding — SRAM rates AXS batteries for 60 or more hours of use depending on the component and shift frequency. Charge level is visible in real time through the SRAM AXS App, so you always know where you stand before heading out. Charging takes up to 60 minutes with the SRAM AXS Battery Charger or AXS 4-Port Battery Base Charger, both sold separately. For riders building out an AXS system or wanting redundancy for longer events and bikepacking trips, carrying one or two spare batteries provides the peace of mind that wired systems never require you to think about.
